This study combines the cutting-edge femtosecond laser experimental techniques of Professor Chih-Wei Luo at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University with our department&#8217;s strength in first-principles calculations. We demonstrate that charge density waves exhibit different phases in the semimetallic system CuTe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">At low temperatures, a new periodicity is induced in a third direction, in addition to the original &#8216;a&#8217; direction.
